1. What’s your nickname?
My family and close friends call me Chris a lot of my male friends simply call me Glenn.
2. Three words to describe you?
Laidback, Stubborn, Fun Loving (I know that’s technically four words)
3. How long have you been a pilates instructor for?
Approximately 18months but I have personally practice pilates for over a decade, before it became as popular as it is today.
4. What’s your favourite post workout snack?
If I’m in a rush a protein shake, a tub of yoghurt or a piece of fruit otherwise I love making smoothies especially in the warmer months.
5. How do you stay motivated?
I have a coach how keeps me accountable for all my endurance training and I’ve become good friends with one of the trainers at KettleFit and she helps me to drag my butt out of bed early on a Saturday morning to train with her before she has to start training other people. I tend to hang around with like minded people so sometimes I catch up with friends for a beach walk or pilates and grab a coffee after, it makes it feel like your not really exercising and it's a great excuse to catch up with friends.
6. Other than pilates what other exercise do you do?
I am an endurance athlete and am currently training for a ride from Melbourne to Sydney to raise awareness for Parkinson’s Disease and funds for Shake It Up Australia, a cause that is very close to my heart as my father was diagnosed with the disease just over two years ago. I am leaving Melbourne on March 2nd and riding around the South East coastline of Australia to Sydney over the course of 12 days with my husband and dad coming along as my support crew.

7. Who is your biggest inspiration and why?
My Father, no matter what life throws at him he keeps putting one foot in front of the other, never feeling sorry for himself when the odds are against him and never one to dwell on the past. He always focuses on what he can do right now to help his circumstances and most importantly his family is his greatest asset which is something he instilled in my brothers and I at a very young age.
8. Fun fact about you?
I not only teach Pilates but I also work in a hospital in the Radiation Oncology Department as a Radiation Therapist, for those who don’t know what that is, I treat cancer patients with Radiation.
9. What can't you live without?
My husband, my family and my dogs, I’d be lost without them.
10. How would you describe your job to a child?
I teach people how to move better and help them to stay fit and healthy.
11. If you’ve had a bad day what do you do to cheer yourself up?
I either go for a beach run, take my dogs for a walk or go to a Pilates class.
12. When do you feel most balanced?
I don’t know that I have completely mastered that art of a balanced life, I always feel like something is taking more of my attention than another. It depends on what’s happening in my life as to what demands more of my attention. Right now with my charity ride coming up, training whilst working two jobs is definitely taking it’s toll on maintaining balance.
13. Peanut butter or Vegemite?
Oh that’s a though one, but if I really had to pick Vegemite.
14. How would you define Happily Active?
It’s about moving your body in a way that makes you happy everyday. It’s not about pushing yourself through boring gyms sessions that you hate. It’s about people moving in a way that’s unique to them and what suits their lifestyle.
15. If you could be anyone else for a day who would it be, and why?
I don’t think I would ever want to be anyone else, I love my life and not because it’s perfect by any means, my house is more untidy than I would like and my hair is in desperate need of a colour and cut, but it’s my life and I have spent a lifetime creating it and surround myself with people who truely make me happy.
16. What do you always have in your fridge?
Heaps of veggies, Chobani yogurt, dark chocolate and way to many varieties of cheese (I’m obsessed with cheese)
17. I’m happiest when…
I’m at the beach with my husband and our dogs.
18. Summer or winter?
19. You’re a new addition to the crayon box. What colour would you be and why?
It would have to be the same colour as my bike Bianchi Celeste, my bike makes me so happy, there’s something so freeing about riding outdoors on your bike either solo or with friends to coffee.
20. What’s your favourite quote/mantra, and why?
'Worrying is like a rocking chair, it gives you something to do but it doesn't get you anywhere.' When I start to worry about things that are out of my control, I think of this quote and realise my energy is better spent elsewhere doing things I can control.
