20 questions to get to know Ella Smith - KKore Instructor

1. What is your nickname?

El, my Names already so short there’s not much you can do with it!

2. Three words to describe you?

Clumsy, so clumsy, driven and honest

3. What exercise gets you happily active?

I love to sweat, the more intense the better, however recently I’ve tried slowing down and have started doing KKore and more running. I like how my body feels with this current combo.

4. What can’t you live without?

Well if we’re being literal, then Insulin! I’ve been a Type 1 Diabetic since 3 yrs old. Otherwise I’d have to say moisturiser.

5. Who is your biggest inspiration, and why?

This is quite possibly the hardest question I always get, I don’t think I have figured that out yet! Can I say me? I guess I constantly inspire myself to grow and am definitely always learning from my mistakes.

6. Always in my fridge:

Butter. Butter is life.

7. If you could be anyone else for a day who would it be, and why?

A marine biologist. I saw a video a while ago of one who swims with whales. That would honestly be one of the best experiences ever.

8. You’re a new addition to the crayon box. What color would you be and why?

Burgundy. It’s such a boss colour! Its bold and strong, yet still earthy (good for the skin tone) yet not so overpowering like red.

9. How would you describe your job to a child?

I get to try lots of things! I get to help people feel better by moving (PT) and soon I’ll be able to help their bodies work better (chiro) and then I get to takes photos of pretty things (photography) and finally get to help people feel pretty in their exercise clothes (retail).

10. Vegemite or peanut butter?

I’m actually allergic to vegemite‼! So I don’t even get a choice in that one.

11. If you’ve had a bad day what do you do to cheer yourself up?

Work out

12. When do you feel most balanced?

Has to be when I really concentrate on eating well. No processed food, not too much sugar lots of veggies.

13. Who’s your favourite Disney character?

Cinderella, since I was a kid.

14. If I’m stressed I….

I walk my dog! Walking is one of the only ways to reduce cortisol levels (the stress hormone) and my dog always makes me so happy (she doesn’t have a worry in the world) so she is always bound to take my mind off things!

15. Biggest fear?

Probably the future… and not knowing what it will be like.

16. I am happiest when…

I’m somewhere in nature with my boyfriend and dog. It’s without a doubt the time when I am happiest. Recently went camping at Wilson’s Prom, when set up our little campsite with a bottle of wine and cheese and literally just spoke all night and looked at the stars. Does it get better than that?

17. If you could be anywhere right now where would you be?

South of France (my heads already there, just waiting for my body to join)

18. What’s the most useless talent you have?

This is such a great question! ... really good at sticking my tummy out like I'm pregnant...  it's scared my boyfriend a couple of times! hahaha

19. Summer or winter?

Summer! I tried to lie to myself for so long to be different and I do love winter because it means snow and skiing, but all through winter all I wish is for it to just be summer again!

20. What’s your favourite quote/mantra, and why?

That Everything happens for a reason. It may not be a literal reason and you may think it’s just a load of Bull, but there was a time in my life where that quote kept popping up in the weirdest ways. Maybe it’s just means that we don’t always have to swim upstream or get too obsessed with the past or why things may not have gone to how we planned, but it’s about using those situations and continuing to move forward.
